PROJECT PHASES AND COSTS

PHASE 1: From Start to Floor Area Completion

Stage 1: Site preparation — Projected Cost: $0 — Excavate the area for the wall. Prepare the surface for bricks. Run conduit for electrical installations. All materials and labor donated.

Stage 2: Concrete Work — Projected Cost: $15k — Assemble forms and pour concrete for the walls, monument bases, and flagpole.

Stage 3: Completing the Floor Area — Projected Cost: $48k — Install the flagpole. Lay blank bricks for the complete floor. Install electrical. Install time capsule.

PHASE 2: The Final Monument Placements

Stage 4: Granite Monuments — Projected Cost: $350k — Designs and bids needed.

Hello Woodruff,

     My name is Brian C Richards Sr. I am from Woodruff SC, a 4th generation veteran (US Navy & currently US Army), and a 2 time combat veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom (GWOT Afghanistan War). I am the Vice Chair of the Woodruff Veterans Memorial Committee. Our Memorial Committee is made up of veterans of numerous different eras, backgrounds and from different parts of the surrounding Woodruff area. Our little town is full of veterans, veteran history and growing. We need your help… We will take any help we can get from our local business partners and veteran supporters. Donations are what we need because we of course have to fund this multi-generational monument for our town. Please consider making a tax deductible donation, but any help would be greatly appreciated.    I have listed the donor list below and a quick video link along with the above video that will help explain everything.   Please let us know after reviewing and watching the videos if you can assist in the funding of the Woodruff Veterans Memorial.   The city has donated the plot of land but the funding has to come 100% from donations, grants, and sponsors. We have also put together a growing Hero Collage encompassing as many pictures of Woodruff area veterans in uniform we can find to keep our veterans memories alive. Send us your pictures in uniform (or of your veteran). Eventually, once phase 2 is underway (listed above), we will start offering the purchasing of our veteran bricks to be purchased, presented, and placed on the memorial floor for the lifetime of the monument to honor our local veterans. Here are the partnership levels and benefits for our donors.

PARTNER ($100+) — Listed as partner on website.

ONE STAR ($250+) — All above, plus a certificate for their home or office.

TWO STARS ($500+) — All above, plus a Wooden Frame for their certificate and a Woodruff Veterans Memorial Challenge Coin.

THREE STARS ($2500+) — All above, plus a locally made wooden desk stand memorial replica sculpture to hold the challenge coin.

FOUR STARS ($5000+) — All above, plus their name or business name on a group donation plaque located within the memorial wall area for the lifetime of the monument.

FIVE STAR DONORS (not listed on tri-fold brochure) are businesses that make major donations of $20k or more.  These are Tier 1 donors, which will get All above, plus individual plaques on the donation wall within the memorial to include their business emblem for the lifetime of the monument and VIP Seating for our events, dinners and banquets.
